Rob Smith

Rob Smith is a professional bassist and teacher with over 25 years of experience and more than 30,000 lessons taught. He has been the Education Director for Gerald Veasley's Bass Bootcamp for the last 12 years, teaching alongside Bass Legends Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Michael Manring, Oteil Burbridge, Andrew Gouche and more. He is currently collaborating on a series of Bass Education Books with Gerald Veasley on a wide variety of topics such as Improvisation, Technique, Slapping, and Tapping. In 2011, he won the WMMR Building the Band contest and was also named Philadelphia’s best rock bassist by Origivation magazine. He tours and records with Dave Weiner (Steve Vai) and formerly performed with Rob Balducci, Dante Frisiello, Zeroesque, Disciples of Groove, The Minor Arcana, The Endless March, Vahe Sarkissian, and Trey Alexander.
